Every winter, we have been participating in the Toronto Winterlicious program, which makes reputable restaurants to open their door for a affordable fixed price lunch.

We have been to dozen restaurants in the past. This year too, I have made a small reservation at TRIO Restaurant, Novotel North York on Tuesday January 31 at noon. Please budget for 25 cash (lunch is $18).

Every year we participate in the Toronto's Summerlicious program and use the excuse to renew networking in an intimate environment and meet some members, advisory panel and volunteers.

This year I have done a booking of TEN at the Chefs' House, a showcase of training chefs at the George Brown College. The students provide a memorable dining experience while cooking in the open kitchen concept.

Where learning is our main ingredient, the students of George Brown College provide a memorable dining experience while learning in our living lab, The Chefs' House.

The cost is $15 + taxes and gratitude.

Twice a year, advisory boards of SIP and LTI meet for lunch at a downtown restaurant, this time we want to focus on our authors and speakers.

Would you like to join us for lunch at a famous landmark of Toronto - the Art Gallery of Ontario (French: Musée des beaux-arts de l'Ontario) at their exquisite restaurant called FRANK on next Tuesday February 1 at 12 noon (lunch is from 12:15 pm to 1:45 pm).

We could not a get a room, so we have a small booking of 10; please let me know if we can have the pleasure of your company. I guarantee you will meet extra-ordinary people.

Every one will be introduced and they will have the opportunity to tell us "What are they up to...?"

The special price three course lunch (drinks and beverages are not included) is only $20 (bargain considering what they normally charge):
Gingered carrot and beet soup with crisp heirloom carrot ribbons (vegan, gluten-free)
or
Maple roasted butternut squash and royal gala apple and candied walnuts on a salad of baby red romaine with apple cider vinaigrette (vegan, gluten-free)
or
Tamarind glazed beef brochette with coconut chilli chutney (Gluten-free)

Grilled cheese and spiced apple chutney sandwich on cranberry foccacia bread served with frites and lemon mayonnaise (vegetarian)
or
Lamb meat loaf with garlic mashed potatoes and sautéed rapini
or
Seafood bourride with mussels, clams, white shrimp and chorizo sausage in a saffron scented broth with garlic toasts (gluten-free)

Chai spiced rice pudding brûlée with pistachio biscotti

Pear, ginger and nutmeg crumble with sweetened crème fraîche

Hello Friends:
I am not going to drag you out in the desert of Morocco but the Arabian Style tent is on Front Street.
During the Winterlicious 2008 Toronto many good restaurants are opening their doors with promotional (read as below their normal prices) lunches and dinners.
We have a small group of 11 to have lunch at The Sultan’s Tent & CafĂ© Moroc.
